Would Elvis have had the same or comparable success if he had been born, say, 40 years later in today’s world? I’ve posed this question to many people and although I’ve gotten a variety of responses, they’re mostly a resounding YES!

Of course, we’ll never know for sure, but we can make educated guesses, can’t we? For those of you who offer an opinion in the “negative,” hear me out; yes - I may be a little biased but I’m going to try to be impartial, only for the rest of this article.

All you have to do is watch any of the Elvis Presley movies to see how much presence he had on the big screen.  C’mon people, do you really think Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford, or Brad Pitt would’ve been more in-demand and commanded more moola per film than Elvis Presley? Wait a minute - I’m starting to sound a little biased, aren’t I?

Ladies, if you were an actress and had a chance to work with Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford, Brad Pitt, or a young Elvis Presley;

(1)  Which one would you say was the best-looking of the bunch?
(2) Which one was the absolute sexiest?
(3) Which one had the best voice?
(4) Which one would you have rather kissed?

I rest my case!

Next time one comes up on cable TV, feast your eyes on any of the Elvis Presley movies and ask yourself if any star today comes even close to the presence he had - even in his era, watching him on the big screen appeared almost mythical.  Yes -he was that good!
